The Alaska Native Plant Society offers field guides and checklists for native plants observed along a number of Alaska trails and in backcountry areas. Thanks to Dennis Ronsse for producing the field guides currently listed on this site. Plant scientific names are listed alphabetically and follow the Flora of Alaska Project.
Field guides include photos and are formatted to fit on a phone and assist with field identification for some of the plants in a designated area. Checklists provide a more complete list of plants and do not include photos. General info documents provide information to help plan a visit. These are living documents in PDF format that may be revised with new information.
